'Shades of Grey' sees O'Neill suspended by Hammond after stealing a weapon from Tollana. In 'A Hundred Days' Stargate is destroyed by wayward meteors, leaving the SG1 team stranded on the planet Edora with no way back home. 'Urgo' finds the team implanted with alien spores which enable them to see a strange creature called Urgo, who claims to be their friend.

'Forever in a Day' sees Daniel Jackson reunited with his wife, though this has a damaging effect on his friendship with Teal'c. In 'Rules of Engagement' the SG1 team comes to the assistance of a unit it believes to be the missing SG11 squadron. 'Demons' finds the team in trouble when they get mistaken for demons by a medieval civilisation. 'Deadman's Switch' has the SG1 crew captured by a bounty hunter while on a routine mission. 'Point of View' sees SG1 visited by alternative versions of Carter and Kawalsky, who come from a parallel universe in which Earth has been taken over by the Goa'uld. In 'Learning Curve' Jack O'Neill disobeys orders when he attempts to save the twelve-year-old Merrin from being used by the Orbanians for memory storage.
'Legacy' finds the SG1 team forced to make an enormous sacrifice when they discover a deadly parasite.
'Fair Game' has Carter attempt to expose Thor's double-dealings with the Goa'uld when the latter plan an attack on Earth. 'Seth' sees the crew attempting to track down an ancient Goa'uld who is on Earth posing as a religious leader. In 'Into the Fire' the SG1 team are taken prisoner on Hathor's world, and it is left to Hammond and Teal'c to formulate a rescue plan. She could have become pregnant, regardless of if the actress was hungry. That would certainly make him an estranged or "distant" father.Īnyway, Jack and Laira had an intimate relationship while he was stranded on Edora. If he was making that up, there's reason for him not to, even if he would go back to Edora as a friend. In the next episode, when Jack goes undercover to catch some rogue NID, he uses going back to Edora as an excuse for that, mentioning that he promised Laira he'd go back. Maybe the actress did say she was hungry, but that definitely doesn't negate the fact of what she did, as an actor, playing the part of a character that told Jack she wanted him to give her a child. We don't know at which point during his stay there that they jumped into bed together, or how much longer he was there after that point. (Edit - he was there longer than exactly "a hundred days".) If she was, then wow that would mean there's a li'l O'Neill running around out there.
If she wasn't pregnant, then well there's that. Other than his quick visit only by the stargate on Edora (not the village) in Shades, there's no other mention of him possibly going back to visit. It's also possible she could've later discovered she was pregnant and simply not told him. Jack wouldn't leave her and a kid behind if he knew, they'd figure something out. That is an interesting idea you mentioned about her holding her belly hoping to be pregnant so he'd come back. So in that regard, it doesn't matter that she held her belly. They still did it, after which the necessary time would've passed, after which the symptoms could've started, which would be after Jack left, basically off-screen time. If they definitely jumped in the sack so close to when he left, it all makes sense as a possible not pregnant scenario.
